About the main formats

GreenTech Startup Battle: Digital solutions with a sustainable impact

At the GreenTech Startup Battle, a total of 20 startups presented sustainable project ideas that conserve and protect natural resources. Among the seven finalists are startups such as mobileup from the capital region, myFeld from northwestern Switzerland, viboo from the greater Zurich area, Resilio from Romandie, Hive Power from Ticino, dhp technology from Eastern Switzerland and databaum from Central Switzerland. Up for grabs are CHF 10,000 in cash, 25,000 AWS credits, and 1 year of venture services or a co-working space. Who will go home as the great winner?

#herHACK: a female-led hackathon

The promotion of women in technical professions is more relevant than ever in view of the increasing shortage of skilled workers. With a share of around 80 percent, men dominate the tech industry. This makes it all the more difficult for women and other underrepresented groups to gain a foothold in this field. That's why #herHACK took place again this year. Together with our partners, we set challenges within the framework of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and participants worked on creative solutions in a limited amount of time. The finalists will present their project ideas and we are excited to see who will be announced the winner!

NextGen Future Skills Labs: Awakening enthusiasm for digitalization

The NextGen event series enabled school classes to discover digitalization topics in a playful way and to reflect on future skills. Children aged 10 to 15 learned about new technologies and methods and are encouraged to help shape our digital future. 180+ school children have taken part in the NextGen format in Biel, Liestal, Zurich, Lausanne, Lugano, St.Gallen, and Luzern. Groups explored sensor and robotics solutions, among other things. They also learned how a distance sensor works and programmed a parking aid for cars with the acquired knowledge.
