Sustainable SME thanks to digitization

The most important instrument in the global fight against warming is the massive reduction of greenhouse gas emissions. As part of the Paris Climate Agreement, Switzerland has committed to reducing its emissions by 50 percent by 2030 compared to 1990 levels and to becoming CO₂-neutral by 2050.

SMEs should be aware of the opportunities that digital processes as well as collaboration present for them. Offsetting their own CO2 emissions can be a challenging task for SMEs and it requires important management skills and many other competencies.

Once all potential for saving CO₂ has been exhausted, it makes sense to voluntarily offset the remaining CO₂ emissions.
